Mtende Homecraft Foundation is a Malawian community-based charity organization committed to transforming rural livelihoods through sustainable development. Established in 2005 officially registered in 2014, the foundation operates from Mantchewe Village near the scenic Mantchewe Waterfalls in Livingstonia, Rumphi District. Our work focuses on tackling key challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, hunger, disease by empowering communities with knowledge, skills, resources to build a better future themselves.
Guided by compassion, integrity, respect human dignity, Mtende Homecraft Foundation partners with local communities stakeholders to drive lasting change. Through advocacy, capacity building, coordinated development initiatives, we strive to create a well-informed, self-sustaining society where every individual can live a dignified productive life.
The organization seeks to end poverty suffering amongst vulnerable communities by working in close partnership with communities themselves to enable them overcome poverty, illiteracy, hunger diseases with great compassion, respect human dignity integrity.

Mrs. Patricia Chirambo is the Co-founder Programmes Manager of Mtende Homecraft Foundation, dedicated to empowering rural communities through practical skills, education, sustainable livelihood initiatives.
Ms. Mary Zolimba serves as the Finance Administration Manager at Mtende Homecraft Foundation, ensuring effective financial management organizational efficiency to support the foundation’s community development goals.
