World Connect Malawi support Mtende with Grant amount to $7482 project entitled ‘Strengthening community resilience against climate change economic shocks’

World Connect Malawi pioneering local grant making organisation that supports locally led development has partnered with Mtende Foundation on environmental management & conversation project.

With a grant totalling to $7482, this grant making organisation based in the capital city of Malawi Lilongwe has finannced Mtende on project that has been dubbed ‘Strengthening community resilience against climate change economic shocks’.

This grant will go a long way to assist the people around Mtende catchment area of Livingstonia & neighbouring areas to develop their capacity on how they can fight against the dire effects of climate change & also economic shocks that may emanate due to current economic challenges Malawi is facing due to partly 44% devaluation implemented by the Government which has led to inflation rates escalating as well.

There is a old adage that says: “if you take care of the environment, the environment will take care of you.” This project will go along way to help people of Rumphi to brace themselves challenges ahead.
